Yesterday after lunch we got in Rooster (the new car) and drove to the farm in Tenn. It was getting warm, so I run the AC on the way back. Didn't want the watermelons and wine to get too hot. Rooster got 37.5 mpg. Hiway 411 is a good road with few redlights and 55 mph speed limit. I was trying for 40 but fell short of that but I am very happy with what it did get. It is getting around 26 to 29 in town.
As good as that is, it still cost $20 bucks. It don't seem all that long ago that a trip like that was just $5.00 dollars.
Did you know that after July 1st, you will be able to "legally" order wine via phone/internet to be shipped to you (that is any Georgia address)? The quotes around "legally" are because I don't know how many wineries across the country will know that and have altered their system to allow shipment to GA.
Of course the law requires a sober adult to be able to accept the shipment.
