While debugging the electronics I found the tachometer was not doing a true reading. It maxed out @ 2 K and just set on that number. I called the vendor that I got the tach from and he referred me to the tach factory service department. The guy there knew what I was talking about and told me it was the electronic ignition giving false readings. He said that the ignition folks had a fix for it. So I looked up my electronic ignition paper work and found the customer service number. This was the third guy I talk with. He said yes that he had a fix for the problem and would put it on ups as soon as we hung up the phone. He was very nice and it was a free fix. You got to love automotive electronics. Computerized.
