Halloween Day 2006 started of about 9 am with Owl stopping by to see Henry.
The three of us had a nice visit for over an hour. Then me and owl headed to
Rich Mountain to find The Short Bus. Henry needed a day off, and I needed to
get out of the house. A trip to the hills with some hiking was just the ticket.
When we got to the end of Rich Mountain Road and ready for the hike
I wanted to check The Rich Mountain Delight which was near-by. It is Gone.
I have left it online till I make up my mine what I'm going to do with it. When I got
back logged a DNF on it and made it members only cache .
After that little set back, we headed out for Short Bus. It was in good shape.
There has been only one visitor LZ33. We put it back like we found it, after doing
some trading. I left a travel coin that I picked up at the LZ33 cache in NC.
That likes to visit hard caches and this fit the bill. I put in two clocks and owl traded
for one of them. All I took was the Bruno Dog TB to get him on the road again.

We left the mountain and headed for the second stage of moolah, that owl had failed
to find last week. The small micro was lost. I think it was there but had fallen from its hiding
place and was somewhere under a ton of leaves. We replaced it was made it more secure.

As we drove by Long Branch owl said there is a cache showing on my GPS only 600 feet from here.
A drive by in the hills. We found it in short order , I left Bruno and I got a smiley.

It got dark soon after we got back to the main road home.
It was a fun day and I feel good and am ready to hit November head on.

Comments:
Hi Johnnie! Found your blog/rant, hope you don't mind, good reading. We found one of your 'certificates for your geocoin' in the Return to Black Mountain cache, it is a shame that you have to do that (we left it there, since we have one already!). It sounds like you had a good day at Rich Mountain, is that road open now? This is the best time of year for caching.

maybe we'll see ya out there...
