After a few trys and a few postponements me, Robert and Allen made it to Cochians Falls.
We had it planed for this winter Jan. or Feb. During Jan. on the best weekends weather
wise Allen had to work. When Feb. got here we set a date and a good freind (DB) was going to hike with us. I was all set for a fun day in the woods with good company.
The time, and plan were set. It was a go, everyone had the day of,f and was ready.
I got up earily, and it was raining cats and dogs. OH WELL there will another day.
Sunday the 22th got here, the weather was just right, and it looked good to go,
and we were not sure we could all get together again in the weeks to come,
but db had to be in another state. bummer. but we went while we could. I truly
hope he gets to go at some point. It is a very worth while site to see.

The picture and the following text were took, from another web page.
will will put up some of our pictures soon.
Cochrans Falls cascades approximately 600 feet decending from Frosty Mountain. The Largest
cascade is at the top and is pictured above. To reach this falls go west on GA 52 from Dahlonega
15 miles to the second entrance to Wesley Chapel Rd just inside Dawson County. Turn right on
Wesley Chapel Rd. and after .8 mile turn left on Roy Porter Rd. Go 1.2 miles and turn left on
Blackhawk Rd. and ford the creek within a few yards. Ford the creek twice more in the next 0.6
miles and continue on this road until you decide to park and walk. The total distance to the base
of the falls after turning on Blackhawk Rd. is about 2 miles. The trail which ascends the right side
of the falls is treacherous.
