Boy I had a busy week. Nothing to add to my found list, but I
added 2 to my hidden list. The latest was put out Wed. this week.
I will have it posted by Saturday morning.
Thursday April 4, 2002
I have found a few more caches. One that was fun was up the road a ways.
(Gomer)
I went to it because I read in the logs that a few folks were not
finding it. On March 26th I made a first visit to
(Breifcase full of Blues)by Mtn. Man. It was a rainy day but
It was a fun find.
On April 2nd I put out a new one with a challenge
(Raccoon Creek Challenge)
It goes like this
This Challenge is by Johnnie, So named because I made it as hard as I
could. It has no view, no land mark, nothing special, just woods. It is not
buried or in a stump hole or anything like that, so you don't have to be
poking in the ground. Please leave it as near like you found it as possible.
We want the next person to have fun too. It has nothing in it , but a mini
log, No trinkets. If spending over a hour hunting a cache, or not finding
one at all could cause you stress, then this one may not be for you.
Here is the deal. Find it if you can, sign the mini log, and log it here. After
a month or two I will go get the mini log. I will put the first ten logs (if
there is that many) in a drawing for First, Second, Third place prizes.
There will be no advantage in being first to find it, but there will be a big
advantage to be in the first ten. Then if there is more than ten logs I will
put all of them in the next drawing for forth through tenth place prizes. I
will notify the winners by their Geocaching email address
1st prize A used Lap Top Computer
2nd prize GGA Baseball Jersey
3th prize GGA T-Shirt
4th prize GGA mug
5th prize GGA Tile Coaster
6th Prize Geocaching Compass Keychain
7th Prize A Gold Dollar
8th Prize A Gold Dollar
9th Prize A Gold Dollar
10th Prize A Gold Dollar
Am I nuts? Probably
Ok thats all you get!!! That right no hints!!!
Good Luck
There is a little more to it than that. I won't give to much away
here, but when you get to the cords all you find in a rock with some
new cords on it. The next stop the hard one. I look forward to see
how it turns out. The first person found it today.
March 16, 2002
OK so I have slacked off a little. I am not going to as many
caches as I was. I am still caching, but I have gone back to the
pick and choose like I did in the begining. I had rather go to
one that shows me some interesting place, and has a good hike
with views ect. I was doing some of the drive by caches in
town for a while when I was trying to run up my number to a hundred.
I did one that I look at the direction and distant from the drivers
seat of my car and lefted the GPS on the dash, hopped out and
walked stright to the cache, logged it and was back in the car 5 minutes
later. Don't take me wrong, I think the drive bys have a place
in the caching world. I put out one
(Pickett's Mill Virtual Cache)that you don't have to get out of
the car to find it. It does put you at a State Historic Site.
List of all my hidden cache's.
But I have got a little tried of the drive bys
for the time being. I did run my number up high enough to
be 4th in the state of Ga. for a week or two.
You can see the caches
found by me here.
Now that March
is here I started doing some harder caches. Hard but a lot more
rewarding for me.

On the 14th of March I found one of the best I've been
to yet. It is in the North Georgia Mountains near Helen, Ga.
It was a two and a half mile hike one way. The views were
out standing. It is called
Nacoochee's Revenge (Yonah Mountain)
